Thai company BioPBS developed a high-heat-resistant cutlery using modified cornstarch blended with polybutylene succinate (PBS). Unlike traditional PLA utensils, this innovation decomposes in soil within 30 days (vs. 90+ days for PLA) and withstands boiling water. Major airlines are testing it for in-flight meals.
